Way to go Kaylyn!

Kaylyn had her first basketball games of the season this weekend. She cheered at 2 and played in one. Her Daddy took her to the cheer games I had the other two girls. Then we meet them at the Girls Basketball game she played in. It was awesome her team didn't win but they played hard. Kaylyn scored the only two points for her team. AWESOME! Her first basket in a game ever! They managed to hold the other team for the first half but being it was the first game they got tired in the second half.

Kaylyn, Kevin(her daddy) and Cameron(her uncle,my brother) went paint balling Sunday to celebrate their birthdays. They all have birthdays in January. Cam has 2 bruises, Kevin has 2, and Kaylyn has 4. But they all want to go back.

Reace does not like Bball games. Whistles, Buzzers, and just gyms in general are too loud for her. She decided to go to lunch and shopping with my Nanny and my cousin. They also went shopping so she had a new pair of earring and BFF bracelets when I got home. She had a great time so all were happy.

We are once again in the process of redoing the craft room. This time we will get it right. As we sell off furniture we can't use we hit Ikea and get the right stuff to get us organized and help us create a more functional room for Crafting. Hopefully we can get it right soon! Check back for more updates!

So sometimes I am just not sure what to say on here. I finished Paige's dress. Yay for me but is it really blog worthy. (Of course I will post pictures later when she wears it ) I got in a fight with Kaylyn. Not really news since lately it is an almost daily occurrence. She is at that age where she is testing boundaries and driving me crazy in the process. I love being a Stay at home most days but some days............

The other day I told the girls I was just going to drop them off at the daycare and see them later. Kaylyn told me I would be arrested for putting my kids in daycare and not actually going to a job. I told her they didn't care where I went as long as I gave them money! LOL

Good days and rough days I love the little boogers. Kaylyn with the attitude (but need to make you laugh) , Reace with her sweetness (and sometimes whiny) Paige with her devilish grin ( and just pure devil. )

I spent the night at the meeting for Brandenburg Middle School. It is the Classical Center so you have to be invited. In just a few short months she will Graduate from Elementary school. In three weeks she is turning 11. Time just flies by. She already thinks she is bigger than she is. She had so much fun tonight walking through the school. To get in she has to apply and be chosen. They sent out around 4000 invites. I am just praying for God to put her in the school that is right for her.

Next week My baby turns 2! I am working on her a Minnie mouse dress to take pictures in. Just another day in the life of a mommy. In a few short years she will be in Elementary school. If she makes it! Just caught her sticking things in the outlet AGAIN!! She is a 24-hr-a-day-stare-at-her-only job! The other two were angels compared to her!

My sister made the cutest hat for my nephew today it is a fleece cap with a fleece mohawk. Super cute. We are just a crafty bunch around here! ;-) Hopefully I can post so pics tomorrow!

Ok I know her face is sooo dirty but I couldn't resist her cuteness in this pic. As soon as I pull out the camera she runs up and yells CHEESE! I rarely actually get the smile though, by the time I can hit the button she is trying to see the picture on the back. (Digital pictures are so much more fun than stinky old film!) Remember the days of having to wait and agonize over if you got at least one "good" shot.

Now I can take pictures of dinner and post the same day!

And Voila Yummy deliciousness! Even good the next day reheated for lunch. My crowning glory of the weekend! LOL All the rest was good too.

We are getting ready for the Children's play at church and practiced Sunday afternoon after church but I am saving that for closer to the play.

Paige story of the day: I told Mom last night I have to start hiding my purse because Paige dumps it out. Well today I thought she was watching cartoons when I went to check on her she hide pulled the tiny rubber bands for her hair out of my purse and dumped all 500 color sorted bands out of their nice, hard for me to open, container into one big pile! Yes I sat and sorted them back out.

Awards Day!

Well no crafting today. It was a Mommy day. It was Awards day up at the school. Both my girls did awesome.
Kaylyn got A/B Honor Roll and Reace got A. They are reading more and kay took 3 AR test yesterday and Reace took 2 today! On a roll Baby!

Pool Table was taken away today. I am sure the new owner will enjoy it, I am enjoying the space it left. Well I have already filled it with a REAL cutting table. Awesome to more backaches when cutting out patterns. but that took most of the day.

Nanny had a hair appt today. She enjoys having her hair done. She did good walking in and out of the Salon. She still gets tired and seems more forgetful than she was but overall is doing well.

I didn't actually accomplish too much today so I decided to throw a random Christmas picture in. I did make all the girls outfits they wore to see Santa. Love Bass Pro. Of course we went at 1:00 and ended up with a ticket for the 7pm time slot, but we got there just before 7 and were done not long after.

I was working on Kaylyn some pants and taped a few other patterns together in preparation for working but only sewed one pair of pants for Paige I already had cut out. I did stay off the computer. The day just kinda slid by before I knew what was going on.

We are saying Goodbye to the Pool table tomorrow. The new owners are coming to pick it up. A little sad to see it go, Kevin and I bought it when I was pregnant with Kaylyn over 11 years ago. It has held up very well. we just don't have room for it and the Craft room. Well even then you would have to you a 2 foot cue with the space it is now limited to. One day there will be space again.

Well after Mom and I work our way through all this Fabric and ribbon and beads and whatever else tickles our Fancy. ;-)

My Mom made a Resolution to Blog more and then I made it mine. So it has become a challenge. lol Now it going to be fun to see who can keep it up the longest. (we are not known for our longevity, a bit of ADD in this house. Although we prefer the term sanguine)

Outfits and a Birthday!

Still rocking and rolling in 2012 but I didn't get my exercise in today. I spent too much time trying to get my eReader to connect so I could load the new book I bought. Book not loaded so no reading and riding. Only downfall of using technology over a actual paperback!

Here is the pic of the outfit I made for Reace yesterday. She wore it to school today and I forgot to take a picture of it on her. Of course now it has chocolate on the sleeve where she used it for a napkin.

I did make Paige a pair of fur lined boots today. Using alot of patterns I have bought and fabric that is taking up precious space in the house.

And now she has lost one so again she is down to one shoe AGAIN! but they were cute on her. A little small though so I am going to try and enlarge the pattern and try again tomorrow.

Here is the Twirl skirt I made for Reace. Love the fabric. Tomorrow I am working on some stuff for Kaylyn. I bought some cute fabric with her name on it.

Today is my little brother's birthday! He turned 28! This is all we have seen of him. He walked through as he was leaving for work and won't be home till 3 am. Then he will sleep again. We will see him his next day off and maybe celebrate. If he is lucky!! LOL

Day 2 and I am blogging again. Actually I had a pretty productive day. Kids went back to school and I stuck to a schedule of sorts. Working this morning and doing the Mommy stuff e.i. dishing and laundry and cooking after the kids got home from school. Stayed off Facebook for the majority of the day (that is the hardest part for me) and only played my computer game while eating lunch. YAY!

I even did 25 minutes on Mom's new spin bike thing! Got a little bored doing that though I wasn't going anywhere and my eReader is refusing to hook up to the internet. I am going to need a new book if I am going to just sit in one place.

I made Reace a new outfit and a new skirt today. And cut out a pair of pants for Paige. Love the Easy fit pants By Carla Crim. Super easy and fast! LOVE IT!!

Hopefully I can add pics tomorrow!

Fun Paige story of the day

While I was doing laundry I heard her banging around in the bathroom when I went to get on to her I found her emptying her potty in the toliet then flushing it. So I went back to the laundry. Then I here the shower coming on run back and she had turned on the shower and was rinsing the potty and dumping it in the toilet. then brushed off her hands. Hard to get on to her for cleaning. ;-)

Such a smart baby for not even 2!

Okay I mean it, 2012 is going to be MY year to Blog. So much changes so fast it is nice to go back and see what has happened.

We had a great Christmas. All three girls got what they wanted

And My Mom got her Christmas wish, My sister and her family came to visit from Kansas and they got to stay for the whole week. They drove down on Christmas day and didn't have to drive back till New Years Day

We had fun and were sad to see them go home but are looking forward to the summer when someone makes the drive to see each other again. And we always have Facebook Sykpe! LOL We do lots of video chats during the week so no one ever seems that far away.

Looking forward to the new year and the 4 birthdays this month brings. My oldest is turning 11 and my youngest 2 this month. My Brother and my Hubby also have birthdays but hey, we know it all about the kids now. ;-)

Looking forward to typing a quick note a day to keep the year in perspective.

Maybe by next Christmas I can get a Santa pic with a smiling Paige.

My Crazy Busy Life

Okay I know I am a horrible Blogger! I don't know if anyone actually bother to read this but that's okay too! So much has happened since I blogged last. I am now PTA president this year and a 70/30 caregiving for my Grandmother. It is going to be a busy year. My Nanny ( as the grand kids call her) has had some health issues concerning her Blood pressure. But then they found pre-cancerous polyps in her colon sooo they went in to burn them off. All went well until a week later and a scab fell off exposing blood vessels which led to her almost bleeding out. Luckily they went in with an emergency colonoscopy and burned the vessels which was great, but then she developed orthostatic hypo tension. Which means when she stands her blood pressure dropped rapidly causing her to black out. Blood pressure issues led to TIAs (mini strokes) Which led to more hospital time. She is currently in rehab and will be back at the house soon. but she can't stay by herself which is where I come in! So now I have three kids, a grandmother, dinner for 9 nightly, laundry for 5, cleaning (as if), and oh yeah did I mention PTA president! like I said Crazy busy year!

I am the worst blogger ever! My life never seems fun enough to write about. Quick highlights of the past year! Found out Kaylyn needed glasses. Her reading has greatly improved since last year (imagine that..Did you know if you can see it helps you read) She has made the A honor roll 3 out of 4 six weeks. She was a cheerleader and played Basketball this year. Reace has lost two teeth and is taking dance. She says two jobs is enough for her. She has also made A honor roll 3 out of 4 six weeks. Paige had her first birthday. Has 6 teeth an d is starting to walk. Her talking is coming along although Mama is still her favorite word and covers a multitude of things for me to the dogs! I am working hard at both being a full time Mommy and Part time Crafter! I have had alot of orders recently for Koozies and T-shirts. It is crazy busy right now but I will try and get some new pics up tomorrow.

Paigie Poo and a Clean Craft Room

Yesterday my youngest princess celebrated her 4 month birthday!! She is a chunky little cutie.

I have been busy cleaning up the craft room so my mom and I have room to actually create new things. A little hard with a baby but we are getting there. Yesterday cleaned out 6 tubs of fabric. I still have around 12 tubs left. I think I like to shop a little too much. My mom and I have decided we have to let go of excess supplies. Right now the plan is to list lots on ebay or facebook. There will be fabric and beads right now, but we are going through the whole room. Everything is quite messy right now. Hopefully we will have it all cleaned quickly. We have an awesome friend helping us. Without her we would probably be hoarding stuff till Jesus comes back!! But right now I am in the zone. If I think it is pretty (which allot of it is) but I don't have immediate plans for it, IT IS GONE!!!! I mean really what was I going to do with 50 bandannas??? A whole bucket of Flip flops?? I have turned over a new leaf. No more overbuying! Thrifty and Smart are my new mottoes! I only buy enough for one project at a time and I finish it before I start something new! I can do this!! I will post pictures of the new CLEAN room when its done. Here is a before picture just to give you an idea how bad it was Not the best picture but messy.

Our progress so far, well My progress. I didn't want to take a picture of mom's side yet. I will wait till she is here. Or just let her show off her side.

Here is an idea of all the fabric we are letting go of. But this is just the first wave so I will probably go through it again today and pull out more.

Ok Announcing Princess Paige!!!

I am back and now there is a new addition to my family. Last I blogged I had just failed the 1 hr Glucose. Well I passed the three hr. Made it through a book fair at kids school, Thanksgiving, My Nanny's birthday, my Mom's birthday, My 30th Birthday, Christmas and New years, My brothers and Hubby's birthdays (can you tell why I haven't blogged in a while just no time). All that brought us to January 19th when I gave birth to my youngest Paige Alexandria. She weighed in at 9 lbs 11ozs and measured 20 1/2 inches.

Her big sisters adore her and she is already pretty spoiled. She is now almost 6 weeks old and rules the house. I am the only one who will let her cry for more than 5 seconds, but I learned my lesson with the first two. I have to keep reminding them that Mommy can't come running to take care of the baby while she is in the bathroom. :-) Even Mommies get to potty in peace. Yeah Right!!

But she is a super sweet baby who loves to look around and is already turning over to her side and lifting up her head. She was even scooting during tummy time the other day. I told her she doesn't have to catch up to her sisters she can just stay Mommy's baby for a while!!

Her oldest sister turned 9 just seven days after she was born and what happens but that very night Kaylyn gets her first phone call from a boy! I am not surte I am ready for all that lol. Now that thingshave calmed down around here maybe I will have time to Blog.

Wow I am a bad blogger

Wow! I am really bad at blogging. It has been 2 months since I have written anything. I am now HUGE!! and getting bigger every day. I have only gained 10 lbs so far though, but i did fail my 1 hr glucose teat last week so I go in the morning for the dreaded three hour one. I am eating my last food since it is still before midnight as I type this. Then I have to fast till after I am done with the test tomorrow afternoon. Bummer.

Other than that everything seems to be sailing along. Girls are doing good in school, No flu issues so far (knock on wood and pray hard), and they have both gone on a field trip. Reace went to a pumpkin patch and her Daddy and I both tagged along. It was fun she got to milk a cow and touched it's "gudder". LOL Kaylyn went to the local high school which has a planetarium. She loved it. She came home and told us all about the stars and planets.

I will try and get some pics up but nobody hold your breath since I obviously have forgotten my blog site LOL.

It has been awhile since I have updated this. Summer was a long endless round of nausea and sleeping. My grandmother has a TIA (mini stroke) so she was recuperating here, and my mom had her second reconstructive surgery. I was going to take care of them but ended up sleeping most of the time. I finally got to the doctor in August. I was already 16 weeks pregnant. but that is a ok with me makes the second half go by so much quicker. ;) I go back for my 20 week sono in just a week so soon I will know what I am having. They just couldn't tell with this one.

We then got two new puppies. Super cute little wienie dogs. A long hair male and a short hair female. But at only 6 weeks old they do not sleep thru the night. Yippee. Mommy has to get up with them at 3 am to let them out. Lucky for me my dad is an early riser and usually lets them out at 5 so then they are pretty good till I get up at 7 to get the girls ready for school. Which started today so I sent my baby off to Kindergarten. We took her to her class and then she told us to "just go". She wouldn't even kiss me bye. I like to think she was trying so hard to cry she sent us away. lol My third grader was so excited she got up at 5 am. Then she was so cranky tonight I almost sent her to bed at 7 pm. She loves school and can't wait. It won't last all year but I will enjoy it while I can.

I have been so busy sewing and embroidering I am fixing to have to take my machines in for maintenance. Not to mention my computer hard drive was fried this morning when I went to boot up my computer nothing. but it is getting fixed as we speak ( I had to hijack my Mom's computer for this blog.) now it is off to bed for me. Puppies and kiddos want attention way too early in the morning.

It has been a busy week at my house. My Etsy is rolling right along with a new custom order almost daily, then on Wednesday I get a call from my brother to get up to my mom's work right away. No big deal you think. Wrong! He is suppose to be in Iraq. He didn't tell us he was on his way home for leave just his then girlfriend (now fiance he got engaged while on leave this week.) so she could pick him up from the airport. So we all went to lunch. On thursday we met my Nanny for lunch so she could see him. Friday we went to my nephews t-ball game and out to eat afterward. Saturday was a out to eat then a play at the community college.(which was wonderful.) Then sunday was my sisters birthday and we went to lunch again. Then the park to play t-ball then Dairy Queen for a Ice Cream Cake. No wonder I have gained 4 pounds this week. Eating out almost everyday. I am going to have to do better or I am going to be sorry. LOL. I have to finishup all these orders I have taken. So Bubba is on his own this week. He goes back the 4th of June and we will miss him again but for now I am going to work!

Another year has gone by. My little girl will be in third grade and my baby starts kindergarten this fall. Amazing. Tonight I have a PTA meeting and the new board will be voted on. Since cheer leading ended I haven't had my Spirit mom duties. Pretty soon I am going to be bored. NOT!!! With business picking up and the kids home for the summer I doubt I will ever be bored. but it's fun to think about.

I never can remember to get over here to write a quick note or post some pics of what we have been up to. I hope everyone out there had a wonderful Mothers Day. We did. My whole family got together and went to the Dallas Arboretum on Saturday. It is beautiful.

I think I included a pic of everyone that got to go with us except my BIL apparently he completely avoided my camera.

The only ones missing were my brother and his girlfriend. But he is in Iraq and she had classes so I guess they had a good excuse.

My brother did remember to send my mom and his girlfriend's mom flowers. 1-800-FLOWERS takes orders from anywhere. We have been blessed that he has access to the Internet and phones. We hear from him every few days so we don't worry too much. After the walk through the flowers we all went out to eat at Chili's. A great day all in all. Sunday after church we got Subway sandwiches and went down to the park for a picnic. The weather was nice and the kids had a blast. I have some orders to fill this week so hopefully I can get some more pics posted. We have been adding to our Etsy site almost daily so there are a few new pics of what I have been up to. Enjoy your week.

Book Fair Week Is Done!!!

Man why oh why do I insist on being the book fair chairperson!!! Of course because I love books and I love my daughter. It just takes up sooo much time. But it is done. and while I was there I got more orders from teachers needing embroidery. lol. so I squeezed in two shirts for a baseball mom and of course I forgot to take pictures, but I did remember to take pics of the outfit for my daughters former teacher. It is too cute. She came up with the saying I just did the stitching. The fonts are the #355 Zebra filled font

and the #147 Curlyque from AKDesigns Boutique. Angie has alot of great fonts in different sizes you can use for just about every item imaginable. Back to my machines I have more dolls to make and some Koozes to finish. Enjoy your day.

Yeah! I got my first order done. I made a Kimberbell doll with two outfits for one of my mom's coworkers. If you haven't tried this pattern yet it is great. Super easy and fun. The Queen of hearts outfit and Gift giving outfit is great to. I sold this one for $45 for the set. I am trying to raise money for my daughters cheerleading. Everylittle bit helps since I am a Stay at home mom.

What I have been up to!!

Last week we had a silent Auction for my daughter's school. I hate to call businesses and ask for donations. And each PTA board member is required to bring 10 donated items. Sooo I just make things to donate. I took a bow board for hair bows, a bulletin board that said Jacks which is the peewee team for this area, a towel set that had a football player and a cheerleader that said Jacks (that I embroidered my self, okay the machine did but hey) two Kimberbell dolls one light skinned and one darker skinned each with two outfits, a crocheted bag and blanket with a little doll, a chili pot gift set, and a wheat sack and sleep mask gift set, a size 18 month outfit with a t shirt bloomers and tutu, and a baby bouquet. Plus my mom made a bracelet and two bead people necklaces. Unfortunately not all my things got bids, but we raised over $1000 with all the other things that were sold over the course of the evening. And wouldn't you know I ended up getting 5 or 6 orders from people who saw the things I had made. I had pretty much decided I couldn't keep trying to run my business and I get new orders. Yeah!!

Okay I know it has been like , FOREVER, since I have posted anything. I got over the flu but kinda lost my urge to create. I have done some but not as much as usual. Then we all got sick again. Now we are back to feeling better and it is Spring Break. Not that we have done much but just hang out with my kiddos. We have gone outside everyday for our daily dose of Vitamin D. Luckily the sun was out and the weather nice for Spring Break. Hopefully I can get some pics up tomorrow. We are trying to get the craft room cleaned up some so it is easier for me to create. lol. I am going to try to get some items together for our PTA's silent auction next month. We will see how much I get done for that.

My baby turned 8 today. I can't believe it. But it is true at 11:20 pm eight years ago today I had my first baby a little girl. She is so grown up. we had a party for her yesterday at Buildabear. It was great she took to friends and then her sister and cousins. Then we went to the Nestle Toll house Cafe. for a cookie cake. No fuss and no mess to clean up afterward. Awesome. I made her a super cute skirt and top to wear so she would have a special birthday outfit. It was pretty rockin if I do say so my self.

Well, The red spots on her legs are fading. Today I notice a couple of new ones but none as major as the ones on Tuesday. BUT it has been a very busy weekend. Thursday my little one Reace started to run a fever. Since we had been to the doctor twice this week and she didn't seem to have any other symptoms I gave it a day. ack! on Friday it went up to 102 so I took her in. Just a virus. No Strep no ear infection. Just a random virus. Yeah. Have I mentioned that Friday night was Kaylyn's pep squads lock-in. At my Church. And I am the Spirit mom. and I hadn't finished the end of year gifts. YEAH!!! Okay. I rushed home finished the picture frames and Embroidered bags I made for all 22 girls. Sent my parents up to the church to get it open for the girls but forgot to give them the check. DUH. Well the delivery guy was nice enough to leave the pizzas while he made the other deliveries and come back for the check. the girls start getting dropped off and I begin to realize no one is planning on staying the night but ME!! NOT GOOD. The girls are going nuts, the bows haven't been glued on the frames, one mom left her 4 year old son as well as the 8 year old cheerleader, and I just realized Kaylyn is breaking out in hives again. We ended up having to call all the parents to pick up their daughters at 11:00. I think they had fun though. One girl brought her Karaoke and they sang Hannah Montana, HSM, and Camp Rock songs. Then watched a movie till the parents came. Not quite the party I had planned but not too bad. But that was my Friday. Saturday wasn't bad and Sunday will surely be better.

On Tuesday my daughter comes home from school covered in a red rash all over her legs. I freak out and rush her to her doctor. Turns out she has an ear infection and HSP. It has this long name I never remember but it is a form of vasculitis. the capillaries in her legs are swelling and hemorrhaging. That isn't even the bad part. It can also effect her kidneys and intestines. It causes High blood pressure and arthritis in the hips knees and ankles. Right now her ankles are swollen and hurting along with the rash. So far though that has been the worst of her symptoms. Her kidneys have been fine. Then she had blood drawn yesterday and broke out in hives. So back to the doctor we go. I can't take much more, not to mention my wallet with the doctors visits. So she is home this week and hopefully will be back to school on Monday, well Tuesday, they have Monday off.

I decided I would sew along with Kim on the YCMT blog and make a scrap quilt. Today when she posted the instructions for step three I realized I had better get started if I was going to finish at the same time. So today I sat down and spent the day cutting, sewing, and ironing but I did it I am ready for step 4. Now to wait......

I got three presents made before the party on Saturday and My Daughter's friend loved all of them. Well he loved the pillow with his name on it and the blanket with his name on it the pj's were okay. but he will enjoy them I'm sure. It was all so easy to put together. I used the Kimberbell font + pillow instruction from SWAK to make the pillow. and then used the same font to embroider his name onto the fleece for the blanket. My daughter and her best friend tied all the edges to finish the blanket. Super cute. I used the easy fit pant instructions to make the pj bottoms and a plain green tee for the top.

Okay of the gifts I got to finish everyone loved them. Unfortunately for some they did not recieve the super cute gift I had planned for them because I ran out of time. I did get to make pj pants using Carla C's pattern for all of my husbands cousins boys the yougest was so cute he is 2 and when I took them out of the bag to hold them up to him he got mad. He told me "My Pajamas. Where the shirt??? " I was so glad they liked them. The older kids seemed to enjoy the I spy bags but I'm not really sure they understood them the oldest is only 7. My girls loved the dolls I made and the worms. I am still trying to get all the pictures loaded on my computer so I can post them. Right now I am working on a birthday present for one of my daughters friends from school. Of course I waited till tonight to make it and the party is tomorow. Oh well I will get something done. LOL

I did it. I realized at 10 pm Saturday night I didn't buy my girls Christmas dresses for Sunday morning. I hadn't had a chance to try out this pattern yet and It looked easy enough so I went for it. I think they turned out awesome. It took me till 5 am. But they didn't cost me anything I amazingly enough had everything on hand in the right colors (since I needed matching bias tape I was a little worried) But have no fear my love of shopping came through in the end. Tomorrow I am aiming for at least one dad's tie maybe two depending how the day goes.....

Yippee!! They just posted the winners and I won something. A month subscription to www.Diddybag.com It is a website that sales clip art. Then you can digitize it for embroidery. I think. I am sure I will figure it out soon. Right now I am just excited. I won!!!

Class gifts

Alright of course with all the gifts I've made I put off makeing the gifts for Kaylyns class till tonight. But I did it 27 santa bags made of felt and fur. Plus a big mess!!! I also made Kaylyn's teacher the cutest pen holder using a empty tin can and some Mary Englebright fabric I bought last year some time. Total cost for both projects 2.44 all of which was for the felt and fur. Amazing.

After massive searching today I have found the battery charger for my camera. Tomorrow I will take some new pics. After we visit Santa. I made three of Kimberbell Kids Dolls and 1 baby blanket., 4 coasters for my mother in law. And one blanket for Jonathon's Place down the road. Okay honestly the dolls aren't quite finished and I only have 2 coasters completely done. Right now I am in the middle of trying to find one arm and one leg to complete the last doll. But tomorrow I will have pictures. Alright night for now.

Okay still trying to get some pics up. Went to take pictures last night and of course my camera was dead. Still trying to find my charger to charge it up. For anybody that does machine embroider you have got to check out SWAK embroidery.com. I am quickly become as addicted to it as I am to YCMT. Today my little girl brought me her plain white shirt and wanted something on it. (My little crafty children love to have mommy "fix" their shirts.) So I quickly loaded a design I had downloaded as a free bonus gift with my purchase last week and voila a shirt for my little princess.

I know I haven't posted in a few days. Kaylyn had a cheer leading competition on Sunday. ALL DAY. Knowing I have a deadline I took my crochet for my cousins baby and worked on her blanket between performances and awards. Finished almost half of it. The other good news is Kay's Squad brought home 1st place in the cheer/chant division and 2nd in the cheer/ dance. They also won overall for their division. Go Jacks!! Today I am working on the last square right now and am fixing to start sewing the squares together. I have almost finished the Gertie gecko pattern from YCMT. I just need to sew the legs on. Soon I will have new pics.

Okay I finally finished some things. A blanket for my 2 month old nephew, and I spy bags for my girls, hubby's cousins boys, and my nephew. I wanted them to be a little different so I took a clip art picture and enlarged it to full paper size and used that for my pattern. I also embroidered each child's name on the cotton fabric inside the bag. Now these are my very first ones and sewing on vinyl is not easy, so be nice. There is clockwise from top left a tractor, a dragon, an unicorn, an airplane, a car, and a monkey.

All of this cost me nothing. I probably won't be this lucky going forward, but I had everything around the house for these. For anyone making the I spy bags I recommend putting paper or tissue paper over the vinyl to sew on makes it go so much smoother (remembered that trick after the third one.)

Okay it has been a busy week. My mom had a double mastectomy yesterday and came home today. She wanted to come home to all the usual Thanksgiving foods so my sister and I cooked Thanksgiving dinner. This is NOT something we do. Usually my Nanny and my Dad take care of all of that.I know it is sad. A 28 year old mother of two still relies on her parents and grandparents for all of that but they are good at it. I make the pumpkin pie. But this year We did it all. Turkey, Ham, Green beans, 2 kinds of Mac and cheese, actual cranberry sauce I had to cook, plus the kind in the can. Okay my Nanny did still make the dressing, and the yams, and the fruit salad. but we did the rest including the pumpkin pie and a brownie chocolate chip gooey good dessert.
But back to the point I finished a present. Okay I kinda cheated I actually started said present 2 years ago when I was on vacation and needed something portable to do so I started crocheting a blanket. when I got home from the vacation I lost the pattern book so it never got finished. It is a super cute baby blanket in blue green and yellow. We have had several babies come along since then and I always intended to finish it for one of them but never had the pattern.
well I found it just last month after my sister had her second baby. A little boy. Since he will only be 2 1/2 months old at Christmas. He will be getting said blanket. It is done. one present down and 42 left to go. In 17 days. Tomorrow will be busy.

AAAHHHHH!!! The Ads are here. It is killing me. Usually I hit the stores and buy all the cheaper toys. This year I don't have the money and my children really really do not need anymore stuff. This challenge has been great. It is making me really think about the gifts I give and what those closest to me really would like. But it is soo hard to remember that especially in the face of a really good deal.

Men drive me nuts. Maybe it is just my husband, but he doesn't understand why I want to make the Christmas gifts. Or try and do it under $50. He decided to take my list divide it by $50 and that is what he would spend on my gift. PITA. I will just work twice as hard to prove him wrong. He did come up with an idea to help me. He wants me to put together picture books of his family and under the photo of each member their birthday address and phone number. Pretty cute. and not really that hard or expensive if you do it the right way because it will cover most of his family. but we will see more to foll0w I'll keep you posted.

My friend had a garage sale this weekend and I took some of my stuff over. I ended up bringing home just over $50. Perfect huh. Okay I know it would have been easier to have more money but since the challenge was for under $50 it worked out pretty perfectly. I was wondering how I was going to afford Christmas this year. LOL. My husband is a little skeptical. he knows I can make the things and he knows I have enough stuff to not even have to go out and buy much unless it is just to match something. BUT he is one who never values a handmade item that cost 1.00 to make verses a store bought item that still only cost $1 to make but you had to spend $20 to buy so I guess I will have to prove him wrong.

I am so excited tonight I got a new pattern from YCMT!! Thanks to Kim and all the awesome authors who donated their expertise to ebooks. I picked the easy-fit pants from Carla C. I am going to use it to make cute outfits for my husband's cousins little boys. It is harder to find things to make for little boys, well big boys too. And of course 80% of my Christmas list is for guys. I have 2 nephews my hubby's cousins are all guys and they have 3 boys. My two are the only girls. There are a few females. Sisters, Sister-in-laws, Grandmothers, Mom, and Mother-in-law. Okay alot of women. So many presents and so little time. Well at least I have a little more of an idea what I am going to do. Watch for pictures.

Okay this is the first time I have really done a blog. I am starting this because I was chosen as one of the Thrifty Fifty from YCMT. Basically I am going to be making my Christmas gifts for under $50 this holiday season. I will have to be creative and resourceful. I have a ton of supplies so I will be okay there it will just be trying to match a gift up with each person.
